The past few months...

After moving into out new house, we left for Europe.  We had an amazing time visiting France, Germany, Italy and Austria!

We got back to FL and we both went back to work and also started a lot of home improvement projects, which are finally completed and it feel great to be settled and unpacked again!

We headed back to CA for Thanksgiving and got to spend some time with all our CA family and friends.  It had been 5 years since I had spent Thanksgiving with our family and Nate got to experience hunting for the perfect Christmas tree in the snow!

A few days before Christmas we loaded up the dogs and started our long drive up to VA...last trip in the truck!  We got to spend time with all the family from NJ, NY, and VA.  On our 2 year anniversary we were driving back home to FL, with no more travel plans until this summer...we were exhausted!

Over the past two weeks we have been blessed to spend time with our friends Adam and Kristi before they moved west and Libby and Dave who recently moved only 2 hours away in Alabama!

Baby Lincoln continues to grow and be healthy and active.  We are ready for his arrival and now are waiting on him to make a move!  Nate is spending his time working and preparing for his next deployment.  I quit my job at the YMCA the week before Christmas and have been trying to enjoy these last few weeks of pregnancy before Lincoln is born!

20 Weeks!

Last night Nate came home!  So nice not to have an empty house :)  Lucy was super excited to see him.

Can't believe I am already 20wks...half way done with this pregnancy and we find out what we are having on tuesday!   Just in time to move into our new house and start putting together the nursery!  We will get the keys on monday and start moving!! (more pics to come)

As I am getting to the end of lots of paperwork, expensive faxing trips, phone calls and all that goes along with acquiring a new rental, getting a passport, filing my power of attorney with our bank, terminating our current lease, and fixing our phone bill(for the 5th time since Nate left), I feel so blessed that the Lord has given me the energy and determination to accomplish so much.  I keep praying daily that our new lease will go through, I am only a day away from being able to sign it and make everything official.  I also finally after many phone calls got my 20 wk ultrasound appointment for September 20th!
This is a picture of the new kitchen!! I LOVE having a window over the sink!  I will post more pictures later, but currently they are re-carpeting and repainting the entire house so it looks like a war zone.

These sweet faces are what convince me to get up every morning and enjoy this cooler weather with a run or walk.  (I am also so grateful I have been able to run again on a regular basis...it is the BEST stress reliever)

Me, Baby(17wks), and Chuck ready for our run!

Ok, and last of all this guy was like 4ft long and outside my front door this morning...I really hope he decided to leave and I won't be working in that flower bed till Nate gets home!

August

At the end of July the dogs and I started our drive back to California.  It was such a blessing to be out of the heat for a while and spend some time with family!

We even got to see quite a bit of snow! Hard to imagine when I'm back in the Florida heat.

Updated belly picture at 15wks.
We are looking forward to a lot in September with Nate coming home and our 20wk ultrasound.  We will also be moving into a new rental, which I am looking for now!  It is hard to look at houses and think of moving when Nate isn't even home, but I'm confident that the right one will come along.

A little bit of catching up... (May/June)

Found out we were pregnant on May 30th!  Confirmed with a blood test on June 2nd!  Estimated due date is February 3rd...

June 18th I ran my 1st prego 5k...added an epic 11min to my time.  Running sure is different, but at least I am still able to run!
